Community land scotland

Artists & Community Landowners was a national creative programme delivered in partnership with Community Land Scotland exploring the stories, values and futures of community land ownership across Scotland. Working alongside artists, community trusts and local residents, the project investigated how collective ownership shapes identity, place and the social, environmental and economic life of communities. The programme culminated in artist commissions, a publication, documentary podcasts and public events that sought to make the movement for community land ownership accessible to wider audiences.

I worked as Producer and Documentary Lead, supporting the delivery of a national programme connecting artists with six community land trusts across Scotland.

My role sat between artistic production, partnership management and storytelling. I coordinated relationships between artists, communities and organisational partners while developing documentary outputs that captured not only the commissioned artworks but the wider ideas surrounding radical community ownership.

Alongside project coordination, I conceived, researched, produced and hosted The Radical Land podcast series - travelling to participating communities to record conversations with artists, community members and land trusts, translating complex conversations around land reform into accessible public stories.
